I have been suffering from peeling lips for 10 years. Through the years my lips began to peel every 4 days, then every 3 days, then every 2 days, and now every day. My dermatologist recommended a hydrocortisone gel to be applied 3 times a day (morning, noon, night) and Aquaphor (every hour). However this did not solve the peeling lips problem. The dermatologist then recommended Mimyx cream. The Mimyx cream didn’t solve the problem, and gave me a sore throat for 3 weeks. Finally, the dermatologist told me she has never seen a situation like mine and told me to call her if I find a solution. I am located in the NJ/NYC metro area. Is anyone else experiencing these same peeling lips problems? Does anyone know of a lip specialist with a solution to this problem in the NJ/NY area? Please respond ASAP, Thank You.
